Position: Cherry Packing Workers (Production Worker)

Wage: $ 18.25/ hr.

Job Description:

 

In this role, you will be part of a production line responsible for preparing fresh cherries for market. Workers will handle fruit carefully to maintain quality standards while meeting daily production targets. Attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team are essential.

This position requires working in a temperature-controlled (cold) environment to preserve product freshness. Employees must be comfortable performing repetitive tasks, standing for long periods, and adapting to changing production demands during peak harvest times.

Training will be provided, and no prior experience is necessary for candidates who are willing to learn and follow instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort, grade, and pack fresh cherries according to      quality standards
• Inspect fruit for defects and remove damaged product
• Label and prepare boxes for shipping
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work      area
• Follow all safety and hygiene guidelines
• Meet daily production targets and quality standards
• Report on equipment issues or quality concerns to      supervisors
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed

Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods and perform      repetitive tasks
• Good attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced      environment
• Comfortable working in a cold production area
• Ability to lift and move boxes -up to 15 kg
• Basic understanding of workplace safety practices
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a      team
• Reliable, punctual, and strong work ethic
• Flexible availability, including weekends and      extended hours during peak season
• Previous packing or warehouse experience is an asset      but not required

Working Conditions:

• Indoor packing facility with cold temperature      environment (to maintain fruit quality)
• Workers should be comfortable working in cool      conditions and wear appropriate warm clothing
• May require early mornings, evenings, and weekend      shifts
• Overtime may be available during peak season
